The Paulo and Nita Freire International Project for Critical Pedagogy is pleased to announce the formation of a new journal, The International Journal of Critical Pedagogy, edited by Joe L. Kincheloe.

The first issue will coincide with the launching of the new Freire Project at McGill University, in March, 2008. This issue is dedicated to Jesus "Pato" Gomez, a critical educator, friend, and comrade. Contents will include articles by the following:
