Happy May Day!

"Those who do not move, do not notice their chains!" says Rosa Luxemburg.  In a lot of places May 1 is a day to move and  notice their jangle of the chain, show solidarity, celebrate their historical contribution to the workers' lives, and unite against exploitation and injustice. I know most of you (Americans) do not celebrate May Day (International Workers' Day!), I still would like to celebrate your May Day.

 Happy May Day everyone!

Reaction Paper for Evolution

My thoughts regarding about the “problems” addressed in the articles as I understand them to teach the theory of evolution in my classroom. It is important to define what the difference between a law and a theory is. According to Narguizian, “Laws consist of primarily as statements or generalizations made about natural phenomenon. On the other hand, “theories however consist of explanations for how the law works”. It is very crucial to understand the different between law and theory.  My thoughts regarding the theory of evolution are that it can be thought in science classroom, but it requires that we as teacher address the misconception and at the same time keeping our biases away from the classroom.

In the spirit

I live in the South, maybe in 2009 very much the "south" of the South in SC. . .and the partisan bitterness and rightwing-as-norm are heavy as a blinding fog.
