Creative and Critical Pedagogy: role of the arts in CP
In my doctoral work at OISE, I am interested in exploring the use of creative and critical pedagogy (CCP). I would like to begin a conversation with teachers who are using the arts with critical pedagogy to increase the critical engagement of students. I would like to build on the theorists and researchers in CP, with theorists researchers in the arts or aesthetics, such as Greene, Mouffe, Eisner, Denzin, Gallagher, Lundy, Smith & Smith. Hope we can begin to build a conversation about using the arts in critical pedagogy in schools.
