Arlo Kempf teaches at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto (OISE/UT) and in the Department of Sociology at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. His work and research focus on anti-colonial and anti-racist theory and practice as well as equity and equality in teacher education. His recent publications include "The Politics of Cultural Knowledge" (co-edited with Njoki Wane and Marlon Simmons) in Press with Sense, and the sole edited collection "Breaching the Colonial Contract: Anti-Colonialism in the US and Canada (Springer 2009). He received his PhD from OISE/UT in 2010.
